AMERICAN STUDIES AT A CROSSROADS

Parent's Journal

American Studies at a Crossroads was the result of an Annenberg grant to help inform university educators about the ways new media is changing and improving the learning experience in the classroom. The video demonstrates how today's history students are able to study digitally scanned source materials that used to be available only to historians and scholars. This access to original source material has changed the way learning happens in the classroom. Students can now draw their own conclusions about historical letters, pictures, documents and other source materials and discuss them between each other on line.
